What is UFB?

Ultra-Fast Broadband has been defined as a broadband service, allows downloading speeds of at least 100 Mbps and uploading speeds of at least 50 Mbps with fiber connections to your home, school, work and so on.

Ultra Fast Broadband (UFB) could be used for:

    At your home:
  • i. Video communication
  • ii. IP TV and new advanced TV service such as 3D or High Definition
  • iii. Wider Network – Allowing people to store large amount of information and sharing easily each other.
    In schools:
  • i. An online teaching system can be provided and it allows advanced communication way between students and teachers
  • ii. Security and network management can be organised easily.
  • iii. Large amount of information can be stored in web hard drive (called as 'Cloud') and students can access those information easily.
    In Business area:
  • i. High Definition video conferencing across multiple site and enterprises over the world wide.
  • ii. This will improve the information sharing, chat and location services.
  • iii. Cloud can be used for the large size files sharing.
