Can I keep my existing business phone number?

Yes — in most cases we can transfer your existing landline or mobile number. Let us know during sign-up and we’ll handle the porting process.

What are the international calling rates?

Domestic calls to NZ landlines and mobiles are unlimited and free on every Business Voice plan. International rates vary by country — see our full rate table above.

Do I need special equipment for Business Voice?

It depends on the plan. VoIP Landline works with your existing phone and a VoIP adapter, or a compatible IP phone. Virtual PBX may require compatible desk phones or a softphone app for extension dialing — we’ll advise what’s needed at sign-up.

How does the Virtual PBX handle multiple staff or lines?

Virtual PBX gives each staff member or department their own extension, with custom call flow routing and an IVR (auto-attendant) to direct callers automatically — no need for a separate phone line per person.

Can I use a Toll Free 0800 number alongside my existing landline?

Yes — Toll Free can run independently or alongside your VoIP Landline or Virtual PBX plan, with call forwarding, time-based routing, and custom greetings configured to suit your business hours.

What happens if my internet goes down?

Since Business Voice runs over your broadband, calls won’t work during an outage. We recommend keeping a mobile number as backup, and Virtual PBX/Toll Free customers can set up call forwarding to a mobile in advance.
