Big Fibre Boost

WorldNet to Deliver a Major Fibre Speed Boost from July 2025

Faster fibre broadband improves streaming, remote work, online gaming, and cloud-based applications for households across New Zealand.

Local Fibre Companies across New Zealand will introduce major fibre speed upgrades from July 2025. WorldNet customers will automatically receive these improvements without additional applications.

Additionally, customers with compatible routers will enjoy smoother streaming and faster upload speeds.

Customers with modern routers will experience smoother connectivity, faster upload speeds, and improved network performance.

Furthermore, Fibre Speed Boost upgrades will improve online gaming and remote work performance.

Fibre START:

Under the new changes, the Fibre START plan will see speeds increase from the current 50/10 Mbps to 100/20 Mbps, offering households a smoother experience for streaming, remote work, and online learning.

Fibre 500:

WorldNet will upgrade its Fibre 300 plan from 300/100 Mbps to 500/100 Mbps and rename it Fibre 500. This enhanced speed tier is designed for heavy internet users who rely on fast uploads, cloud-based workflows, and seamless online gaming.

WorldNet advises customers to ensure their router supports the upgraded speeds in order to take full advantage of the new service. The LFCs will confirm the exact rollout date closer to July.
